‘AJ Bell welcomes 22 new Apprentices’

This year we have received close to 500 applications for our apprenticeship programmes and were again overwhelmed by the calibre and enthusiasm of every applicant, something that made choosing our apprentices especially tough. The ability to hold face to face assessment days again post-pandemic, brought a much-needed personal touch to the recruitment process. Out of those applications we’ve carefully selected and now have the pleasure of welcoming our 2022 cohort, our biggest intake to date!

As our apprenticeship offering grows, we are super excited that 13 Investment Operations Specialists apprentices and 9 Digital Degree apprentices have chosen to begin their careers with us. They all come from different walks of life and are keen to begin making waves in their various business functions including, Customer Services, Operations and Technology Services.

In their first few weeks, they have embarked on their journey with AJ Bell through a rigorous onboarding programme focusing on various technical training tasks and workshops, brilliantly curated by the Apprenticeship and L&D teams. Throughout the sessions, the apprentices were introduced to the world of AJ Bell and gained a deeper understanding of what makes us who we are, how they fit into our culture, they have got to know each other and met key influential people across the business including our very own CEO Michael Summersgill. They have also spent a day volunteering in the community.

Apprenticeship Programme Manager, Lucy Kidson said;We are really excited to welcome our latest cohort of apprentices to AJ Bell.  They have had a fantastic introduction to life at AJ Bell and we can’t wait to see how they progress and develop over the course of their programmes”

Head of Learning & Development, Angela Davies said; “This is our 6th year recruiting apprentices in AJBell and they play a huge part in who we are and what we stand for as a business.  We are thrilled to see the numbers increasing year on year and we are always proud to see them grow with us and progress within the business. I have no doubt that this years’ new recruits will do exactly the same!”
